Trip Overview

Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica

Ready to live the pura vida lifestyle for the next month? ¡Bienvenidos a Costa Rica!

Meet your group of twelve young professionals you’ll co-work with, and head directly to the beach!

Make a stop to see crocodiles, then the world-famous Playa Hermosa for a cocktail on the black sand beach, followed by dinner.

Your Community Manager will escort you to your accommodations in Manuel Antonio, where you’ll check into your own private room for the two weeks.

Day 2: Manuel Antonio National Park

A traditional Costa Rican breakfast will be served each morning in the cafe of your trendy hostel. Gallo pinto, rice and beans with eggs, a tortilla, fresh fruit, and Costa Rican coffee will round out the spread.

Get ready for a big day with your Community Manager getting to know the local town before the workweek begins.

Ride the local bus to hike through Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most biodiverse places in the world. Look for two types of sloths, three types of monkeys, toucans, and blue morpho butterflies as you follow the trails.

After your hike, cool off in the Pacific Ocean and have lunch before heading into the local town of Quepos.

Find the supermarket, full-service laundromat, a local cell phone chip, and pharmacies before enjoying a sunset dinner on the malecon boardwalk. Your Community Manager will ensure you feel fully prepared to start work in the morning.

Day 3: Co-working Begins

During the week, you’ll be busy crushing your work goals, but instead of “work from home,” think of this as “work from paradise.”

Your co-working space is just steps from your accommodations, so you’ll always have access to your office. Need to host a private Zoom call? Duck into a phone booth, or walk back down the stairs to your private room.

Bring your laptop to lunch to one of Manuel Antonio’s many well-connected cafés for a working lunch and excellent Costa Rican coffee. You can even do your busy work poolside on your laptop if you dare!

Keep up with your wellness by attending on-site yoga and group fitness classes, or joining the local gym for a month.

In the evenings, find a friend from the group to take a walk on one of the several hidden beaches in this region. Our local surf instructors would love to teach you how to catch waves!

Day 5: Humpday Dinners

We know you’ll be busy working and living life as a local in Costa Rica, so during the week we won’t have too many official activities outside of group happy hours, sunsets, or going on an informal hike after work.

We will, however, host a weekly Wednesday dinner to bring the group together and build community. There is a plentitude of delicious dining options around Quepos and Manuel Antonio; and no, it’s not all rice and beans!

Our Community Manager will select from the best restaurants in town, including a mix of sunset options with sweeping ocean views, live music, and local hole in the walls you probably wouldn’t have found on your own.

Enjoy local picks like fresh fish, including ceviche, tacos, and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options!

Day 8: Weekend Jungle Day-trip

Today is Saturday, and what better way to explore than heading into the jungle on an included waterfall hike!

Hike through the jungle, to one of the most impressive waterfalls in Costa Rica. Swim in the lagoon and marvel and it’s power.

Go back and relax at the beach, and get ready for Saturday night’s included dinner and an optional night out on the town.

Day 9-13: Co-working & Optional Adventures

Costa Rica is on Central Standard Time, so depending on your work hours, we hope you have time to get up early or duck out early to surf, SUP, kayak, or enjoy the beach.

There is no shortage of adventure activities to book on your own with the help of your Community Manager. Manuel Antonio is home to world-class whitewater rafting, sportsfishing, surfing, zip-lining, canyoning, and plenty of waterfall hikes!

Friday nights in Quepos are the best display of local culture at the farmer’s market. Stock up for the week on fresh fruit, vegetables, cage-free eggs, and homemade cheeses.

Consider taking a few extra days of PTO to make the most of your stay. Our motto for the trip will be work-hard play-hard! Many Digital Nomad Trips are over US holidays so you can spend an extra day out of the office.

Day 15: Adios Costa Rica

Through these two weeks in Costa Rica, we know you’ll have become attached to this incredible part of the world.

Life as a digital nomad is one of constant change and growth, and we hope you look back on this month as one of the best periods of your life.

Our network of remote workers will grow each year, and we invite you to keep in touch via our exclusive Slack group with like-minded young professionals traveling the globe.

Your Community Manager will bring you back to the San José International Airport for a heartfelt goodbye while making plans to meet up with our network in another area of the world.
